Cameroon RenewED, an EU Capacity Building project, collaborates with six organizations from the EU and Cameroon to enhance the relevance and accessibility of vocational education and training (VET) systems. By integrating innovative renewable energy expertise in solar, wind, and hydro, we drive sustainable socio-economic development, positioning renewable energy as the new gold for Cameroon. Our project focuses on improving VET teacher capacity, fostering exposure to 21st-century renewable energy education, and bridging the gap between education and the labor market. Through training programs, business partnerships, and local government engagement, we aim to empower VET organizations, young learners, and businesses, ultimately contributing to a prosperous and sustainable society. Play and Fun for Peace Development
H4BF provides the platform and support for crisis affected women and children to lead regular sports in yoga, dance, volleyball, soccer, running, climbing and more. We support displaced women and children in sport through our safe spaces project, our teachers and assistants are from the host community and receive training, support and mentorship from the wider H4BF community and visiting volunteers. Sport supports mental health, and is a universal language bringing people and communities together
Improving Livelihood and Environmental Protection through Provision of Durable Solar Powered Products for IDPs and Vulnerable Women
The Project empowers women entrepreneurs by establishing solar solution centers offering clean energy products and cookstoves. These centers promote a healthier environment by educating the community about the dangers of traditional fuels, while also providing free solar solutions to vulnerable households and fostering stronger relationships between internally displaced people and the Nkambe community.
Increased access to quality and Inclusive basic education for crisis-affected girls and boys in safe learning environments in North West and Littoral regions Cameroon
This project targets children and adolescents which 55% are female. H4BF focuses on reaching girls and boys in Wouri and Nkam in Littoral region and, Mezam and Donga Mantung in North West region Cameroon. Girls and boys access learning opportunities, including girls and boys in early learning programmes, at primary level and at the secondary level, in both formal and non-formal education settings.
Cash-based interventions for conflict-affected populations
This project aims to reduce the vulnerability of conflict-affected populations, including vulnerable IDPs, returnees, and host community men, women, boys, and girls, who have been significantly affected by the conflict and the subsequent waves of displacements. This is achieved through the provision of multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) to internally displaced, host community, and returnee households. H4BF aims to improve beneficiaries’ access to essential goods and services of their choice, enabling them to meet their basic needs.
Improving Access to Quality GBV Services and Strengthening Resilience of Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Gender Based Violence
On a project that directly benefits female headed families (IDP’s) (age 25+), girls(age 15-24), boys (age 18-25), returnees and disabled persons in host communities H4BF rehearse dignity of vulnerable IDP’s. This is done through provision of standardized dignity kits, access to quality PSS to women, girls, boys, men of reproductive age as well as strengthening their resilience through livelihood support activities.
Addressing Women and Girls Sexual Reproductive Health & GBV Needs
The project aimed at building capacity of young girls and women with the confidence, knowledge and skills to manage their reproductive and menstrual health challenges safely.
EN POWER
In partnership with MasterPeace Foundation, Turing Foundation and, H4BF through her skill training center HOBEFI is training young people especially girls in the growth areas of sustainable energy and ICT. It is involving a companies in the training programme so that the content is in line with market needs.
Micro Credits for women
We increase economic independence of internally displaced women and poor peasant women in the West, Adamawa and Center region of Cameroon through the provision of micro credit and improve seeds.
